Here’s a creative idea for your God time. It might be especially helpful if you’re crafty or a visual person. Make a prayer collage!
Here’s the idea: Get a bulletin board, or a large piece of construction paper, or a piece of cardboard. Then find pictures of your friends and family and people you want to pray for. Print them out if they’re on your computer or phone. Don’t have a good picture? Go on their social media and get one. Once you have your pictures, attach them to your cardboard, etc. Now if you’re crafty you can decorate it up real nice. If you’re not crafty, don’t worry about it.
Now, what’s the point of this? During your God time, put the collage in front of you and pray for those people. Actually seeing that person in front of you can be very impactful. It might help you to visualize your prayer coming true, since you have a good visual to start with.
Not so crafty or good with physical media? Make a prayer album in your phone’s photo app. One photo for each person or thing you’d like to pray for. That certainly makes it more portable.
If you can make a photo collage on your computer, or just print out a table of previews of your photos, you can add that print out to your journal, so it’s material but portable.
I’m sure there’s lots of other variations on the this. You can google for more. The idea is to give yourself a way to connect with the people you’re praying for while you’re praying. See what else you can come up with!
